Swaledale Road Runners

Question:  What brought a robin, a cow, a Greek, a Ninja, a fairy, Santa's Little Helper, a Morris man,  a cave man, Minnie Mouse, 2 red devils and 2 ballet dancers together on a freezing January Sunday monrning?

Answer: The Swaledale Road Runners 'Skating on Ice' Fun Run!

Conditions underfoot could not have been worse, with sheet ice across the roads, paths and even the grass.  Two terrifiyng miles were completed before sanity prevailed and all safely returned to the club house for warming soup and rolls.  Two positives were taken from the day; firstly we forgot how silly we all looked as we were too busy trying to stay upright on the ice; secondly, nobody actually broke anything!

Winner of the male category was Gary in his superbly detailed and well researched Greek outfit.  He obviously has too much time on his hands!  And Jess won the female category in her 'cool Ninja' outfit.
