Swaledale Road Runners

Five Swaledale runners took part in the Captain Cook's fell race on New Year's Day. Thanks to Dave Aspin of the Esk Valley Fell Club for the photos.

You can enter this competition by filling in a form at the clubhouse or by e-mailing Liz. When you click on each photo you will see the number of the photo (from 01 -12) on the left, just under the photo. Just name the runner in each picture.

Runners enjoyed great conditions at this year's Loftus Poultry Run.

As part of the 'host your own run' series Jackie led another great run over Bowes Moor.

The village hall at Kirby Fleetham proved to be a great venue for our Christmas do and awards ceremony.

At 8.20 on a drizzly Saturday morning five intrepid Swaledale Runners set off from the Pen-y-Ghent café in Horton-in-Ribblesdale to run the Yorkshire Three Peaks, 'just for fun'.

Success for Swaledale ladies as they win the team trophy in a very competitive James Herriot Trail Run.

The 2011 Burn Valley Half Marathon was held on Sunday 3rd July and as is usual for this event the sun shone brightly. First home for Swaledale was Tony Lambert in a very creditable 4th place. Photos by Pete Richardson.

Ros Blackmore completed her Swale Way Challenge of running  three marathons in three days along the entire length of the river Swale.

The Wensleydale Wander took place on April 16th. Here are some of Pete's photos of Swaledale runners and two of their supporters.

Seven club members went to the Jolly Holly re-run on April 2nd, another of the many races which was postponed  from its usual December date. Please e-mail Pete if you would like me to send you a copy of any of these photos.

Thirteen Swaledale runners went to the resheduled Thirsk ten mile race on March 27th.
