Winter running in Richmond

Conditions for running have been difficult to say the least and numerous races have been cancelled over the last few weeks. However a few hardy souls  have continued  training with the club in all weathers. Ladies' Captain Jackie Keavney reports:

Last Thursday I opened the club up.  Because of all the ice I didnt expect to see that many people.  But just as I was about to shut up shop, seven brave members appeared for a tentative run around town.  All this snow and ice has given folk a new found confidence.  You can't expect to run at the same speed as normal, but all the usual routes are perfectly do-able with care.  We have even had a few newish members take to off-road winter running in tricky condtions and loving it.
