Richie's Sunday Saunter

Spirits were high with lots of chat and laughter as we all met and greeted each other in the garden. 10.45 and away we went with Misty (Kenton's little dog), over the fields to Kirkby Hill, right turn and down through Washton then on through the fields. We then looped back round up through the wood  and over Ravensworth Road before heading back towards Richie's house and the welcome thought of hot beef and rolls to come. The batteries in Misty finally seem to be waning as she showed signs of slowing down! Then not to let her down Kenton's calf went, so they  decided to walk in together.

And back to Richie's we came. The pace ended up being a bit quicker than a saunter to say the least at times, but everyone really enjoyed the great route: a 10K which had every type of running terrain you could get -  grass, road, track, hills, water splash and forestry.

Quick change and into the house for fantastic hot 'Mainsgill' beef and rolls with roast potatoes, tea, coffee and juices which Richie's wife Emma had waiting for us, fantastic! And a great run!

Thanks Richie and Emma.
