Tan hill run
Thank you to everyone who turned up last Saturday morning to do my host your own run, I hope you all enjoyed it. It was a new route for all of you and for some their first visit to the legendary Tan Hill Pub. The weather was kind to us and visibility clear. The route was quite varied and taxing in parts as the boggy bits were just that. I was pleased to see so many new runners in the club turn up along with regulars and one or two who I haven't seen for a while. For more photos look at the galleries.
Hosting your own run is a brilliant opportunity to learn new routes and enjoy the company of others on your weekend run. Refreshments after the run are welcomed but certainly not expected. I plan to do another host your own on Saturday 19th November. For the eleven runners who ran on Saturday the route will be similar in location, distance and ascent. The terrain is mainly heather moorland with one small flat road section in the middle.
