Dalby Dash

On a miserable damp Sunday the 13th I took part in the Dalby Dash 10K trail race near Pickering. The race started on the road for the first two miles (all up hill) and then changed onto hard trails for the long down-hill section. I ran the first half a little too fast and ended up losing four or five places near the end, eventually finishing in 30th place in 40.21. Strangely this was faster than I ran the Scarborough 10K two weeks earlier which is really flat. The Dalby Dash was really well organised, in nice surroundings and raises money for good causes, a really good race.
